지난해 브람스 교향곡 전곡 음반을 통해 그라모폰상 대상의 영광을 안은 리카르도 샤이와 라이프치히 게반트하우스 오케스트라가 또하나의 브람스 음반을 발표한다. 2014년 5월 게반트하우스에서 스튜디오 녹음으로 진행된 브람스 세레나데 1, 2번으로, 독일 정통파 사운드와 작품의 정수를 알차게 뽑아내는 샤이의 해석력이 또 하나의 명반을 만들어 냈을 것으로 믿어 의심치 않는다.
