데뷔 이후 내놓는 음반마다 뜨거운 찬사를 받았던 파벨 하스 콰르텟이 7년 만에 다시 드보르자크의 음악을 녹음했다. 피아노 5중주 2번, 그리고 미국 시절에 쓴 현악 5중주는 모두 뜨거운 정열과 아련한 슬픔이 교차하는 낭만주의 실내악의 걸작이다. 파벨 하스 콰르텟은 이 음반에서 창단 멤버인 니클(비올라), 2013년 퀸엘리자베스 콩쿨 우승자인 길트부르크(피아노)를 초청했는데, 다시 한번 강렬한 힘과 뜨거운 집중력, 서정적인 표현이 어우러진 감동적인 연주를 들려준다.

음반 소개

Testament is an artist-based label, not restricted to any particular period of recording history, and its releases are selected from the archives of some of the largest record companies and radio stations in the world. With the permission and cooperation of these companies and stations.

Testament releases previously unpublished and deleted recordings from their archives, using their original master tapes and 78rpm parts for CD remastering. Testament also has access to their extensive photographic archives and comprehensive research facilities.

Testament is thus in a unique position and one that is enjoyed by no other independent record company specialising in the reissue of archive recordings.

Testament LP's are cut onto lacquer from the original master tapes at Abbey Road Studios using full analogue techniques throughout production an pressed onto 180g virgin vinyl.
