누구보다 개성적이며 학구적인 사운드 메이킹으로 블루노트를 대표하였던 비브라폰 연주자 Bobby Hutcherson의 ‘67년 작품.

Herbie Hancock(피아노), Bob Cranshaw(베이스), Joe Chambers(드럼)의 쿼텟 편성으로 모달사운드를 베이스로한 포스트한 어레인지가 특징이다. 특히 ‘Maiden Voyage’의 리메이크 버전은 원곡과는 차별화된 색다른 느낌을 제공한다.
