블루노트 창립 80주년을 기념하여 발표한 한정수량으로 발매한 Tone Poet Series. 레코딩씬의 거물급 엔지니어 Joe Harley 그리고 Kevin Gray가 각각 프로듀서와 마스터링을 담당하였으며 오리지널 아날로그 마스터 테잎 마스터링과 Record Technology Incorporated (RTI)로 오디오파일급 사운드를 들려준다.

콘트라베이스 연주자 Doug Watkins의 ‘56년 데뷔작으로 Transition 레이블에서 최초 발매했으며 이후 블루노트를 통해 재발매되었다. 이미 수많은 대가들의 세션 활동으로 실력을 인정받았던 안정적인 연주력과 수준급의 작곡 그리고 섬세한 어레인지 등 완성된 리더로서의 완벽한 기량을 선보였던 수작으로 안타깝게 그는 ‘62년 자동차 사고로 요절하게 된다. Blue Note Tone Poet Series, RTI on 180g.
